    Again, I’m only laughing because it is true, albeit legally off point. But “You’re not being oppressed when another group gains legal recognition of an inherent natural right you’ve always had recognized!” just doesn’t bring home the funny as much.

    But to the minds of some, it lowers their own standing when the standing of those they consider inferior are elevated.
