LOL – Not exactly Kermit the Frog singing “Rainbow Connection”
I guess Kermit would be a green frog, well he is green after all. But those bullfrogs mean business! I don’t recall ever hearing them in the wild, even tho their range does extend to southcentral WI – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_bullfrog
I spent much of my youth living in Arkansas and Louisiana. We had swamps nearby and could hear the frogs easily. Frog legs are a staple on many rural southern dinner tables.
I haven’t had a good plate of frog legs in years. Thursday night all you can eat at Ezell’s Catfish Cabin in Wetumpka AL.
Geez guys, I offer you frog music and all you think about is eating the musicians. Shaking head. (LOL)
Not me!
Whenever people tell me “it tastes just like chicken,” I know I’m being conned.
Pete,
I tried to find Ezell’s in Wetumka online, and it appears they have closed.
I had some catfish for takeout couple of days ago from a local seafood restaurant. The fish was excellent, but the hushpuppies were overcooked, so had a thick tough dark brown crust. The fried okra was undercooked, and the breading wasn’t even browned. It was mushy, and I rated it as inedible. The catfish was Mississippi farm raised catfish. Corn fed, fresh water ponds, and never lived in the wild.
