Lol…. And with a Cello what would you have reigned at….

  2. Gene,
Here is some cello music I like. It’s…….interesting.

  3. I have not seen Game of Thrones. After my wife died in 2011, my daughter and I realized that between the two of us, we were watching about 3½ hours of TV per week, total. There was no way I could justify spending over $60 month for that, and we didn’t even have any of the premium channels. We haven’t had HBO in more than ten years. She got a Netflix subscription, but the older I get, the more boring TV has become.

    We would have had blast!

  5. po says:

    Great timing, Gene.
Been looking for a song to play with son, he at the cello, me at the djembe.
Great one! Especially for me as a fan of Game of thrones.

  6. AY,

Somethings are best left to the imagination.

I’m a big fan of 2Cellos and I find that video in particular amusing.

Yep. We’d have blown the roof off the joint. 😀

    Rock on!

    Mark this date,

I do not believe the murder/rotten pieces of crap that have been screwing this planet since DE/JFK have more the 2-3 month to remain in control. I don’t think they’ll make it to the 2014 November (Se) -elections.

Currently the leaders of countries of 3.5 billion people have told them to piss off & now myself & a very large group here are telling these terrorist arseholes like George Soros/Warren Buffet/Munger/Bill Gates/Jamie Dimon, etc to burn in hell.

So mark this date & we’ll see, as I believe those lunatic aholes have already committed suicide.

    We’ll see together.

Other then that I enjoyed your posting of Theme to “Game of Thrones” Redux.

After all, there is no need for us to be upset as them enemy commits suicide. On the contrary, I think we should enjoy some music.

  8. Oky1 says:

History didn’t happening 2 years ago!

I believe from my studies we are seeing a real historic event unfolding in front of us all right now. We’ll know in just a few short months. As a historian type nut I find it most interest. (Except for all the dead bodies left by our lunatic so called leaders.)

  9. RTC says:

Oky: Were you actually up on the roof a building when you wrote the two foregoing comments?

Is everything OK there at home or is there something going on that we don’t need to know about?

  10. Oky,

I don’t say this often, but when I do, I really mean it and not in a mean or snarky way at all but rather out of concern.

    Get some professional help.

You can tell I’m serious because there was absolutely nothing funny about the way I made the suggestion.

Fantasy Braveheart type victory for freedom Denied in Tennessee. I thought there might be a chance, but it is what it is.

Did the horses run back into the burning barn? They will do that sometimes. Was it rigged electronic voting machines? Who knows.

I do believe Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander is like totally compromised & corruptible.

The external polls claim only 9% approve of congress yet incumbents are being returned again in record numbers. You can’t have 91% saying they hate incumbents & then have them turn around & vote for them.

There’s been lots of new support show up for many of my old positions yet I don’t know of one Senate races yet that has swung my way. Mississippi, a long shot at best at this point.

But it remains mostly irrelevant, even that b*stard, the petty criminal Warren Buffet, explains why at some point this system is screwed & doomed to collapse.

With the reselection of all these old establishment Dems/Repukes it will only speed the day as they will continue to do even more of what is leading this system to collapse in the first place.
I’ll hold to my prediction, maybe it won’t be exact, but I sense it’s close.

The professional I spoke with before your post, but before he did some cutting on me is just as pissed as I on many of these important issues as I. But he’s not the only professional I know that feels much the same way & has spoken out from positions of leadership addressing these issues.

One common suggestion I try to remember is that this time of year, in this kind of heat as we workout & tend to choirs, is to still well hydrated as it can diminish mental capacity temporarily or lead to stoke, heart attack or death. I try to take the summer heat & winter cold seriously as everyone should.

And one should always take it easy a few days after being cut on & relax.
Like maybe post on a website they are interested in or maybe not?

  12. Oky,

I was referring more to your rather more than usual disorganized thought process and posting to completely inappropriate threads. The professional help I mentioned is of the psychological variety. Perhaps I was being too subtle. It’s as if someone said, “Hey, nice music” and your response is “Black helicopters whisked a second, third and fourth shooter off of the grassy knoll in Dallas!” It is disjointed and an inappropriate response to the rest of the conversation. That is usually a sign something is amiss. If you’ve recently had surgery, that’s all the more reason to get professional help. You may have something going on with your medications interacting or some kind of complication.

Look, this is a site that is truly dedicated to free speech. You are free to post here as long as you like so long as you follow the very liberal and very few rules. You haven’t broken any rules, but something is clearly wrong with you at the moment. Have other people found your conversations disorganized and inappropriate lately? I ask because you’re all over the map here. Far more so than usual.

  13. oky1 says:

I really wish many of senseless/needless issues wouldn’t be forced upon us, but they are.
If not for wishing to completely avoid govt regs/copyright/liability issues I’d have started my own site 15 years ago yet those issues remain.

I’m not wishing any trouble & I’m sure you’re are a good bouncer.
There are damn few people who think like me, I know it, many are unable to understand it, well Pk’em it’s just the way some are born, but I can also accept them for who they were born as.

On this thread I started out correctly, but slipped to were my focus really.

And I knew, as I often do, that your & JT type websites do not have a say “Brainstorming” thread thread.

I do not wish to interfere with you’re running this site, or your posters or authors, challenging their logic hell yes.

If I ever get out of hand or have to many beers I need to get my arse gone.

I only recently came back here as I had calmed down enough to attempt to politely state the reasons I objected to some of the authors here & a poster.

    I’ve done that.

I’ve went further on some other issues because because I don’t currently know of an appropriate place to put the other material I wish to post.

But I bring you back to the original topic of this thread & my position writen above, now is the time for me to be listening to music, ignoring the noise & waiting to view the results of the pending ciaos as it unfolds.

  14. oky1 says:

If you’re are an involved person there’s always a plenty of ciaos hitting the porch step.
This year it’s been a sheeet storm here, but the wife & I have been real troopers.

We had to put together a family get-to-her, & it was a huge success, if you can imagine herding cats! I felt real good about it. Even served beer, but I didn’t drink.

In our spare time we put together about a 3 hour album of music for the event. We’re workin on 8-24 hours at least.

This clip below isn’t as good as what we bought for the event, but it is one of the songs I like a bit more.

If I can get the album good enough to post here for you people I’d like the very much, hopefully I can get it there.

  15. oky1 says:

    This came after Garth.

I like this as it reminds me of here.

  16. Oky,

Perhaps you should consider starting your own blog? You could brainstorm on it all you like without the constraints of others conversations. That’s exactly the freedom writing columns gives you and really it’s not hard to set one up.

  17. I guess this is where my head has been lately. Like for the past three years.
This is Jay Ungar’s Ashokan Farewell played by David Neilson outdoors on solo cello.

Not to keep bothering this thread with off topic issues, but:

Yes, starting a website is easy there are issues with it.

The govt is going after this guy because he had a website, Silk Road something?, in which others are suspected of using for criminal proposes. I think he’s still in jail awaiting trial.

It could set some very important legal precedents.

It’s much the same issues I lost interest here in owner financed property & what if the owners turn it into a criminal drug operation, that the property could be seized or de-valued because those type activities. More risk then I care to take on any more.

And then there’s the IRS case in which the Govt is caught again abusing it’s authority to go after people/companies because of political reasons.

So Yes, the thread title: Game of Thrones, leads to so many issues that it wouldn’t seem so Disjointed to some of us. Poorly composed & placed it’s likely.

BTW: Lots of extra water did seem to break some of that feverish type thought process some, but that’s always the case with Okla/Miss type summer Heat/Humidity.

    Thank you for your concern.

  19. Oky,

Silk Road was operating as a black market. The comparison to you using your free speech right to start your own blog is both wrong and more than a little paranoid. Were you to form your own blog? Given what I know of your proclivities, the FBI would be going after Alex Jones long before you became a concern.

However, what I am going to do is caution you about threadjacking and refer you to Rule 7:

    7) If the subject in the comments naturally meanders? Go with it if you like. The columns are intended as jumping off points for discussions. Meandering happens. That doesn’t mean hijack every thread you post to for your pet cause. If you want to do that, get your own blog. It’s easy. Hijacking will get you warned. Persistent hijacking will get you banned.

  20. Oky1,
The Silk Road was/is a very big deal. The guy running it didn’t just have a web site that others borrowed without his knowledge. It was a major enterprise. As for whether it was criminal or not, we can wait for the courts to decide. Look up the origins of how Tor came into being in the first place. Also, you cannot just access TOR users through your normal search routes. I also suggest you don’t even try. First of all, it’s ugly in there. Second, there are predators just waiting to pounce on the gullible; and in case you missed my hint, that’s you. You would be safer in the middle of a wolf pack wearing Lady Gaga’s meat clothes.

Back to the point. Web sites/blogs are easy with Blogger and WordPress. And they are free if you are willing to let them insert ads. They are also quite safe and not buried in TOR in spaces that can only be accessed by those who are familiar with the Deep Web. That is where the Silk Road enterprise was located. Did you know that TOR stands for The Onion Router, and was developed by the Naval Research Lab? Those are the same folks I wrote about that are extracting jet fuel from seawater.

    • James Knauer says:

TOR was a reaction to the fundamentally insecure public network created by the internet service provider (ISP) model. Where the internet is a meshnet, the ISPs impose a rigid hierarchy on it, restricting access and content, while paving the way for unlimited government surveillance. Businesses who now want to keep trade secrets must use typewriters, air gaps, and fireproof safes. Among the long list of Congress’ irresponsible and unacceptable behavior is to capitulate to rabid government security lies, instead of enacting electronic security requirements very similar to those governing paper mail. Any electronic security keys belong to the person sending the mail, and are considered private in the same way medical records are treated. Further, end-to-end encryption must be mandated.

Guess which agency run by military wants no part of that?

As a consultant, I would warn anyone away from TOR at this point. As Chuck hints, it’s not the TOR browser itself, it’s the sea in which it forces you to swim.

I’m smiling, I hope you are.

  23. Yep. Usually am. Hang in there with your recovery, hombre.

I’ve been humming it for at least 3 days now, it’s been many a year, but I think I’ll go for a couple of weeks this round.

Thanks for your comment reminding me of it.

  27. Oky1 says:

**Why? First, in college I realized that as much of a girl magnet the guitar was that a properly deployed cello would have been devastating to women for miles around. (Thrown panties would have rained from the sky like Noah’s flood or perhaps, on a particularly good day, a Tom Jones concert.)**

It would seem that toothless Rednecks now have the advantage when it come to collecting panties as the article below would suggest.

I post only because I read the story & thought it funny & without telling my wife she seen it as well & thought like wise.

But I’d rather have a few hours of excellent Cello music on an album instead now days because as I’ve stated in the past I’ve developed a fear of cougars. LOL 🙂

OT, but when did Ferguson hit the news? Rhetorical….

But it would be great if someone had some nice cello pieces as I’d much rather listen to that as I’m sure Gen would as well.

Ok Gene, you’ve convinced me, I really should spend so time exploring the cello & save the ones I like to a file for a personal album.

The cello sound sounds excellent for someone like me as an aid to clear my head from an Ok heatwave & just to enjoy. New file opened just like that.

It wouldn’t be right to not post the 2nd half, & I found it rather nice as well.
