They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. I’d say that the following political cartoon by Nick Edwards (Truthdig) is worth a million words!

Elaine,
Where to post this?! Just too good to pass up
” ….there are some intelligent reasons to treat women differently. I don’t think anybody would disagree with that”
… a law using flogging as a criminal punishment would be constitutional, that there is a reasonable legal basis for some discrimination against women – like in combat – and that the Devil is still very much at work in the modern world.
He also believes American society is eroding in party because women are using the ‘F-word’ … He thinks society is eroding because “ladies” curse.
“One of the things that upsets me about modern society is the coarseness of manners. You can’t go to a movie—or watch a television show for that matter—without hearing the constant use of the F-word—including, you know, ladies using it. People that I know don’t talk like that! But if you portray it a lot, the society’s going to become that way. It’s very sad.”

Posting a cartoon on a thread about a cartoon is quite appropriate.
Somewhere, a Bond novel is missing its villain.
blouise,
I wrote a post about Tony S–the man of your dreams–last fall.
Antonin Scalia’s Thoughts on Secularists, the Devil, the Separation of Church and State, and Religion in the Public Square
Elaine,
Believe it or not, I was turned onto this particular picture and accompanying remarks when I checked into my grandkids’ Facebook pages. Social media is ablaze with this guy’s comments and the responding comments aren’t complimentary towards our beloved Supreme Court member. We’re talking young voters in their 20’s … male and female.
The Republicans are losing an entire generation.
Antonin is the man of my dreams. But I’m not going to say what I dream about him doing.
I lied.
I dream about Antonin having a job circumcising elephants.
The pay is low…(wait for it),
but the tips are big.
(ba-dump!)
I was just looking at the two panels of the cartoon and thinking, “what is the difference between the two sets of looters”? If I think of it I’ll get
blackback to you.Oh, and Bond villain, no. Austin Powers villain, maybe.
Excellent call, pete.
