On the Subject of Hypocrite Mike Huckabee and His Degenerate Pal Rocker Ted Nugent

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is good buddies with rock musician and degenerate Ted Nugent. Nugent, a supporter of the Republican party and board member of the NRA, is well-known for his conservative political views and his unhinged rants against Democratic  political figures like President Obama and Hillary Clinton.

An in-depth look at Huckabee’s friend Ted Nugent–courtesy of Dickipedia:

Huckabee attracted a lot of attention earlier this year “when he criticized the president and first lady for letting their daughters listen to Beyoncé’s music – which in his new book he calls ‘obnoxious and toxic mental poison.” The former governor wrote that Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, was “arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object.”

According to TPM, Huckabee compared Obama allowing his daughters to listen to the “toxic mental poison” of Beyoncé’s music to buying a 12-year-old a stripper pole.

Back in January, Jon Stewart called out Mike Huckabee on The Daily Show for palling around with Ted Nugent “and for his hypocrisy when attacking Beyonce.”

Jon Blistein (Rolling Stone):

In his new book, God, Guns, Grits and Gravy, Huckabee discusses the myriad differences he’s seen between those who live in the blue, coastal “bubbles” and the “bubbas” of the red flyover states. In one chapter, he uses Jay Z and Beyoncé as examples of a “culture of crude,” and describes the latter’s lyrics as “obnoxious and toxic mental poison.” While Huckabee lauded Beyoncé’s talents, he argued that the role model did not have to be “vulgar in order to set the trend.”

Stewart countered, saying he believed Huckabee was “diminishing Beyoncé in a way that’s truly outrageous.” The host proceeded to pull out his trump card: A clip from Huckabee’s old Fox News show in which he plays bass for Ted Nugent during a performance of the definitely not-G-rated “Cat Scratch Fever” (Sample lyric: “Well, I make the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand/They know they gettin’ it from me”).

Stewart said, “That ain’t about bacteria.” Then he added, “Do you see my point? You excuse that type of crudeness because you agree with his stance on firearms. You don’t approve of Beyoncé because she seems alien to you. Johnny Cash shot a man just to watch him die — that’s some gangsta shit!”

As noted by Right Wing Watch and some other news outlets, the seemingly avuncular former governor and presidential hopeful appeared to enjoy performing that sexually explicit song Cat Scratch Fever alongside the vulgar Nugent on his Fox News program.

Ted Nugent is a dangerous moron. Hick is just as stupid for hangin with the Cat Scratch Fever man!

We need to remember that so called patriot Ted used FRAUD to get out of military service during the Vietnam war. Every Vietnam vet needs to remind Huckabee and Ted about his cowardice and betrayal and criminal history. Of course, I am sure that chickenhawk Ted will be forgiven because he is a conservative, and was just doing what ALL good conservatives do. Screw the USA for my own benefit.

The former governor wrote that Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, was “arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object.”

That one line shows a fundamental disconnect between Mike Huckabee’s beliefs and those of most of the rest of the country. When Beyonce and Jay-Z married all of her business dealings didn’t pass from her father to her new husband.

Here Are 13 Other Repugnant Comments Ted Nugent Should Apologize For

National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent has offered a disingenuous and tepid apology after being condemned across partisan lines for his description of President Obama as a “subhuman mongrel.” The apology only came after Nugent attacked his critics on Twitter and elsewhere, at one point comparing CNN to a top Nazi propagandist.

But while Nugent has taken some measure of responsibility for his “subhuman mongrel” remark, the comment is just a drop in the bucket compared to his long history of racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, animus towards immigrants, and propensity to use violence-tinged language.

Nugent’s racist characterization of the president received widespread attention and created problems for the campaign of Republican Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott after Abbott tapped Nugent to participate in campaign events.

Appearing on The Ben Ferguson Show, Nugent apologized, though “not necessarily to the president” for his “subhuman mongrel” comment, then attacked the president as a lying, law-breaking racist who engages in Nazi tactics…

    1. Nugent On Then-First Lady Hillary Clinton: “You Probably Can’t Use The Term ‘Toxic Cunt’ In Your Magazine, But That’s What She Is.” From a 1994 interview with Denver, CO music magazine Westword:

About Hillary Clinton: “You probably can’t use the term `toxic cunt’ in your magazine, but that’s what she is. Her very existence insults the spirit of individualism in this country. This bitch is nothing but a two-bit whore for Fidel Castro.” [Westword, 7/27/94]

    2. Nugent: “Piece Of Shit” Obama Should “Suck On My Machine Gun.” From a 2007 concert where an assault-rifle-wielding Nugent also referred to then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as “a worthless bitch”:

Obama, he’s a piece of shit, and I told him to suck on my machine gun. Let’s hear it for him. And then I was in New York. I said, “Hey, Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch. Since I’m in California, how about [Senator] Barbara Boxer [D-CA], she might want to suck on my machine gun. And [Senator] Dianne Feinstein [D-CA], ride one of these you worthless whore. Any questions? [Ted Nugent via LiveLeak.com, accessed 10/1/12]

I think that I will channel Ted today. We need to shoot and kill ALL draft dodging cowards who got out of the draft during the Vietnam war. Somebody needs to tell this to Ted to his face on air. Or almost as good, to ask him on air or in public what war he was in. I get damned tired of letting this draft dodging coward get away with his so called patriotic crap when he was proud of committing fraud to get out of serving the country he says he loves so much. The statute of limitations has run out on his crime, but he needs to have this thrown in his face every time he shows it.

  5. Ted actually lived in my home town for quite a while, his daughter Sasha went to school with my sister. He was a bit of a small town celebrity here for a few years and had a ranch and his giant, gas guzzling super manly Ford Bronco (camouflage of course ) is still driven around by the person who bought it.
The point to all of that is that Ted was fine for what he was a archetype of a certain kind of masculinity, not necessarily the best kind but nonetheless one that had certain merits.
When he erred I feel is when he hopped onto the demagogue train or tried to. From that point on he has become a less coherent, less educated version of Coulter, Limbaugh, Beck, etc. He is a sensationalist.
The frightening thing is as I have noted before is the sheer polarization that fear and confusion has driven our society into. Desperately running to what they perceive to be a solid wall of defense.
Huckabee is a fine example of this, when Huckabee first appeared on the political scene as a candidate years ago he seemed to at least attempt to walk a marginal line, now his line seems more “Maginot”.

  7. Maggots as in feeding off of dead dead flesh that should be disposed of, yes.

  8. ragnarsbhut says:

To label Mike Huckabee as a hypocrite is a disingenuous and dishonest claim.
