I was impressed with John McCain’s reaction to the release of the CIA torture report on the floor of the Senate today. I believe it was his shining hour.

John McCain is batshit crazy. He occasionally, randomly, says something true. Not his fault.
Feinstein and McCain described the torturing of prisoners by the CIA, as a “stain” on Merka.
I disagree. Doesn’t “stain” imply a color which contrasts with the background color?
There’s no contrast with the rest of Merka’s behavior, that I can see.
Merka has been motivated by greed, fear, hate, and stupidity (overlapping concepts), during the time I’ve been alive. Maybe far longer than that.
The Senate Summary report is right out there, for everyone to read.
Will the citizenry read it? Nope.
They’ll watch their favorite minister of propaganda tell them what’s in it, and what to think of it.
George W. has already denounced it, telling us he hasn’t read it, in the same sentence.
W. isn’t an unusually stupid, incurious citizen. He’s representative of most of the citizenry.

From what I’ve heard it was mostly run through Cheney’s office with Condi Rice’s help. They didn’t want W or Colin Powell to know what was going on.
I don’t believe W know the full scope until partially into his second term, that’s when he started running around telling everyone he was “the decider”.
They will call it a program test thst was granted quasi immunity due to the “gray” line between tortue and defining enhanced interrogation techniques.
It is reprehensible behavior that I would have lost my life trying to out n halt, if I were there.
IMO the oil game and policing the middle east was foretold by Redford,s Condor film.. with apropos ending and the Book Crossing the Rubicon (that I’ve read many times)
What we,re doing there (and will eventually do to Saudi) is far FAR worse.
Feinstein is a tool, her hubby is a land barron schemer and this report is just cause she,s pissed they spied on her.

I believe that they gave W. deniability. He knows what happened, now, one way or the other. He’s defending it. War criminal.
If he’d jumped up when he supposedly heard about it, and denounced it, that would have been decent.
He did not. He still thinks it was a great idea. The people who did it are “patriots.”
