Kindness is the language which the
deaf can hear and the blind can see.

I speak a few words in several different languages — made a point of learning at least how to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ in every country I’ve ever visited. However, the only language in which I can have a philosophical discussion with any fluency is English. I once tried to have a discussion comparing Mexican and American cinema with native Spanish speakers, and found my three years of High School Spanish were painfully inadequate to the task.

Poet Ali takes a radically different view of how many languages we speak, and I found his talk very persuasive. See what you think.
