Another minor public official in Tennessee has decided to support the Bundystani Soverign Citizen wardlordism using county sheriffs as the dupes of anti-government libertarianism. Now the false equivalence of RWNJ sovereignty protests applies where not only is the Federal BLM (Bureau of Land Management) the enemy, but #BLM (BlackLivesMatter) is also the enemy as a matter of “perverse brilliance” .
But the real problem is that one could use the line of argument to prove a pseudo-concept since one Tennessee sheriff is claiming that Beyoncé and CBS are stochastic terrorists.
As much as one wants to get people to stop using a pseudo-concept that leads ultimately to eroding the First Amendment much like Citizens United and corporate speech (the MIC as a “lone wolf” corporate citizen), the neologism has become pernicious on the left to attack RW media while ignoring the concurrent cover it provides for censorship of the left by even more powerful forces. It is now a kind of virtue signalling and a proxy term for what in the literature are called propaganda effects in the often debunked “hypodermic model of communication”.
Every killing by one person upon one other person is in fact a “lone wolf killing”, just like every mass killing by one person could be a crime against humanity.
Every LEO who violates their 
constitutional duty in an unlawful death of a civilian acted as a “lone wolf”.
However short-sighted, a meme has arisen to account for so-called random terroristic acts, as though individual agency is any more or less fear-producing with rationalizing, scientistic classifications.
A Tennessee sheriff suggested Tuesday that an alleged rise in violence against police officers is directly related to Beyoncé’s controversial Super Bowl halftime performance and new music video…
On Monday, there were reports of eight shots fired outside the home of Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold.
During a news conference about the incident Tuesday, Arnold floated the possibility that Beyoncé’s politically charged performances of late may have instigated the shooter in a time when police shootings across the country are closely watched.
“With everything that’s happened since the Super Bowl, and with law enforcement as a whole. I think we’ve lost five to seven officers, five deputies, sheriffs since the Super Bowl,” Arnold told reporters. “Here’s another target on law enforcement.”
Could it be that LEOs just want Beyoncé in their jails with cuffs on. Music rather than poverty causes crime because terrorism.
Stochastic Terrorism, much like saying the Black Panthers had no class analysis is really a badly configured idea considering the several logical contradictions in social and cultural premise as well as misusing statistical concepts as well. It has a definition that has too many variables and too many contradictory causal avenues:
“Stochastic terrorism is the use of mass communications to incite random actors to carry out violent or terrorist acts that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable. In short, remote-control murder by lone wolf.”

Stochastic terrorism as a viable concept reaches its ultimate absurdity as the FBI attempts to get Apple to give up the keys to access the San Bernadino shooters’ cell phones.
Republican members of the Religious Right incited violence as predictably as if they had issued a call for Christian abortion foes to take up arms. Inciting violence this way is called stochastic terrorism:
“Stochastic terrorism is the use of mass communications to incite random actors to carry out violent or terrorist acts that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable. In short, remote-control murder by lone wolf.”
In an incident of stochastic terrorism, the person who pulls the trigger gets the blame. He—I use the male pronoun deliberately because the triggerman is almost always male—may go to jail or even be killed during his act of violence. Meanwhile, the person or persons who have triggered the triggerman, in other words, the actual stochastic terrorists, often go free, protected by plausible deniability. The formula is perversely brilliant:
- A public figure with access to the airwaves or pulpit demonizes a person or group of persons.
- With repetition, the targeted person or group is gradually dehumanized, depicted as loathsome and dangerous—arousing a combustible combination of fear and moral disgust.
- Violent images and metaphors, jokes about violence, analogies to past “purges” against reviled groups, use of righteous religious language—all of these typically stop just short of an explicit call to arms.
- When violence erupts, the public figures who have incited the violence condemn it—claiming no one could possibly have foreseen the “tragedy.”
Stochastic terrorism is not a fringe concept. It is a terrorist modality that has been described at length by analysts. It produces terrorism patterns that should be known to any member of Congress or any presidential candidate who has ever thought deeply about national or domestic security issues, which one might hope, is all of them.
NO, IT DOESN’T EVEN QUALIFY AS A FRINGE CONCEPT OR EVEN A MODALITY AND ITS DESCRIPTION COMPLETE WITH CIRCULAR LOGIC AND FALLACIES HAS YET TO BE EXPLAINED BY ANYONE REMOTELY QUALIFIED TO BE AN ANALYST.

Stochastic terrorism as some form of pseudo-theory for the causality of violence is much like mathematical marxist economics (despite all those analytic attempts) being an oxymoronic fool’s errand. As one tries to make this very flawed concept go away simply by limiting use, invariably less-thoughtful activists will unknowingly support forces of repression by unintended consequence and lack of close analysis of agency and structure.
