Will Trump turn the election into a snuff film — his bread is in the form of debt, but regardless, the GOP will be toast after the election

One might very well surrender if Trump wins, considering the valorizing and monetizing of GWOT mercenaries,

… privatizing all paramilitary activity as the Trumpian apocalypse approaches. When they come for us perhaps there will be resistance, however futile against a PIC and MIC ready to grab everyone’s crotch.

This election cycle, not without its media mavens, is one of Spectacle and the Spectacular: or how Blockbustertm is not quite a Blockbuster, even if they do share a propensity for duds whether corporado bankruptcy or munitions failure.

13 Hours has become for so many Benghazi-gate aficionados, the Kolberg for RWNJs. It is a last stand for a partisan Congress more interested in obstruction than legislation. OTOH San Antonio might have more taco trucks than Berlin, even in WWII.

If nothing else, expect international challenges for the new administration, even if the White House isn’t turned into a casino, and we won’t lose Trump in “…the Bunker Scene” like in the Blazing Saddles canteen. Continue reading

factory for Conspiracy-Theory machines: more Putin-Puppetry

trump-putin-imageBy ann summers

WaPo’s editorial board now uses the explicit term, “Putin’s Puppet”, to identify Donald Trump, and there is some MSM spin that claims a false equivalence between WikiLeaks and a FOIA, considering some clear technical errors in some of their documents such as missing headers and perhaps some editing by non-sources/hackers.

Wikileaks is no Blockchain, even if it has become a  political-economic commodity with questionable archive practices. So far, the release of information has certain frames and timing questions, such as the releases coordinated with some pro-Trump, anti-Clinton agents.

“Some hackers say”…

… Once again, the GOP nominee played the part of Vladimir Putin’s lawyer. “She doesn’t know if it’s the Russians doing the hacking,” he said of Ms. Clinton. “Maybe there is no hacking.”

Mr. Trump is receiving classified intelligence briefings, so he is certainly aware of the evidence that hackers backed by Moscow have stolen email and other records from the DNC and tried to penetrate state electoral systems. So why does he deny it? Mr. Trump’s advocacy on behalf of an aggressive U.S. rival, and the opaqueness of his motivation, is one of the most troubling aspects of his thoroughly toxic campaign.

Experts differ on whether the Putin regime is trying to tip the election to Mr. Trump, as Ms. Clinton suggested, or merely to sow confusion and distrust about the integrity of U.S. democracy. But the leaks traced to Russia through the WikiLeaks website have been aimed at Ms. Clinton — most recently emails from her campaign chairman revealing excerpts from her private speeches on Wall Street. The timing of the WikiLeaks releases, clearly calculated to do maximum damage to the Democrats, confirms (again) that the website is not a crusader for transparency, but a willing political agent of the Kremlin.ctm-factory

Perhaps Mr. Trump knows nothing about all this, as he protested. But he has defended Mr. Putin and his crimes throughout his campaign. He brushed off the fact that journalists and other opponents of the Russian ruler have been murdered and claimed Russia had not invaded Ukraine. He has repeatedly called Mr. Putin a better leader than President Obama.

Word Cloud: CAILLE

Word Cloud Resized

by NONA BLYTH CLOUD

In Celtic mythology, the Hag is called the Cailleach, the ‘veiled one’ meaning ‘veiled in mystery.’

There’s a caille between the world of mortals and the ‘otherworld’ of the Aos Sí, also called the Sith or Sidhe, who are not quite like fairies or elves, but embody many of their traits, along with some characteristics of goddesses and gods, in Celtic myth and legend.

‘Halloween’ has evolved from ‘All Hallows’ Eve’ (all holy, all saints), a Christian makeover of  Samhain (Sah-ween), but it is still rooted in the veiled mysteries.  Samhain is the Celtic turning of the year from old to new, when the veil between worlds is thinnest, and all the uncanny – human ghosts as they depart for the otherworld, the Sith, creatures of dream or nightmare – can slip through the mortal world, mingling with us.

head-of-a-young-woman-greuzeBards have always been fascinated by the ‘otherworld’ and the glimpse through the veil, in the time when all things meet; the fair and foul; the living, the dead, and the immortal. Their songs and stories, rhymes and odes, are meant to make you shiver, hesitating to put out the light as you cast a wary glance over your your shoulder.

After Trump’s defeat, a new American Warlordism

By ann summersct3gztrwcaaklwh_1_

Trump’s now inevitable loss will signal perhaps a Democratic age for at least two years until the residual misogyny gains yet another mid-term resurgence of reactionary fervor as they did in 1994 (class), 2010 (race), and 2018 (gender). Will it extend to secessionist movements intent on “keeping oaths”.

Trumpian Birtherism as a pernicious racist meme is now normalized in everyday micro-aggressions, so why shouldn’t the sexism of “locker-room talk” be even more ubiquitous, especially among those pathetic, majoritarian populations of privilege.Twinks for Trump will become that new Godwinjugend.
